NAC plays several important roles in human health.

Renowned for its ability to replenish levels of the antioxidant glutathione, it also regulates the important brain neurotransmitter glutamate. As one of your body’s most potent antioxidants, glutathione helps to get rid of cell-damaging free radicals. Reducing oxidative stress can help to lower your risk of developing chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and infertility. Additionally, NAC helps the body’s detoxification system, speeds recovery, helps to break down mucus and support improved respiratory health.

Directions:

Combine powder with liquid and consume immediately. Can be added to coconut water, orange juice or smoothies.

If you use NAC for more than a month, add a mixed amino acid complex to your treatment regimen to ensure that you are getting adequate, balanced amounts of all the Amino acids.

Tips for absorption of NAC: NAC is most effective when taken with a small amount of Vitamin C. Vit C enhances the conversion of NAC to Glutathione. If you've added a mixed amino acid complex to your NAC regimen, be sure to take it on an empty stomach as well, but at a different time of the day than you take the NAC.
As the Acetyl portion of the amino acid is quite irritating to the teeth, taking it through a straw is advised, and it also makes it more palatable.

Note: If you have a bleeding disorder or you take blood thinning medications you should avoid taking NAC supplements or speak to your Practitioner. Suitable for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.
